Natural Heritage Education

Natural Heritage Educators researching information for their programs.

The Library forms part of Quetico's Natural Heritage Education Program. The above image shows Quetico's staff researching material to support their programs. The two major themes of the Natural Heritage Education Program are:

  • explore the philosophy of wilderness and attempt to foster among users an appreciation and understanding of the dynamics of ecological processes.
  • delve into the history of Quetico from the earliest times to the present, including the aboriginal cultures, the fur trade, the Dawson Route and the more recent logging eras.

Natural Heritage Programs are offered during the week in the summer months and by appointment for special occasions.
